Blair grew up in Washington, DC and attended Middlebury College in Vermont, majoring in philosophy and captaining the lacrosse team. After college, she worked as an environmental organizer, running eight field campaigns in cities across the country.  She then became the Democracy Advocate for U.S. Public Interest Research Group in DC, where she researched, wrote, and lobbied on campaign finance reform and voting rights. Before law school, she backpacked in Central America for four months to brush up on her Spanish, get SCUBA certified, and volunteer. She loved her first year of Penn Law. In addition to serving on Lambda Board, she participated in the Williams Institute Moot Court Competition and was on the board of the Environmental Law Project. She also co-founded a new student run pro bono project focused on issues of domestic democracy. She will be spending her 2L summer working for Earthjustice in Bozeman, Montana, where she hopes to not get eaten by a bear. Blair plays ice hockey and soccer in her spare time when she is not studying or editing articles for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

After growing up in less-than-urban Lancaster County, Chet has been city hopping on the East Coast since college. Following four years of studying finance in Boston, he moved to NYC to work in derivatives metrics for a large investment bank and then at a law firm specializing in capital markets transactions. Now closer to home at Penn Law, Chet is involved in several organizations outside of Lambda, including the Penn Law Bowling League and Tennis Club and is an associate editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

Brian grew up in the suburbs of New York City and graduated from Cornell University, where he studied Government. In college, he volunteered on a congressional campaign, studied abroad at Oxford University, and almost died while backpacking across three continents. After college, Brian taught special education in Milwaukee, Wisconsin through Teach For America. He then taught students with emotional-behavioral challenges in Washington, DC with the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP). Brian returned to DC this past summer to work at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he helped fight civil fraud. At Penn Law, Brian is on the Williams Institute Moot Court team and is an associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

​After spending 22 years in the great state of Texas (don’t mess with it), Cole transplanted to Washington, D.C.. There, he worked as a paralegal at the Department of Justice and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. After figuring out that there is nothing like work to make you want to go back to school, he is enjoying an extended vacation at Penn Law. At Penn, Cole participates the Youth Advocacy Project and the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, and spends his Wednesday nights at Gehris Lanes with the Penn Law Bowling League. After graduation, he hopes to pursue arbitration or international white-collar investigation work.

Hayley grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She went to undergrad at New York University and majored in Sociology, with a concentration in gender and sexuality studies. Before starting law school, she lived in New York and worked at the Institute of International Education. For her 1L summer, she stayed in Philadelphia and was the pro bono intern for Dechert, working exclusively on landlord-tenant disputes. Next summer, she will be working as a summer associate in New York. As a 2L, Hayley enjoys exploring the various neighborhoods of Philly, seeing live music, and jamming with her friends. She is an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change.

Ray grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He went to undergrad at UCLA where he studied Business Economics and minored in Accounting. While in undergrad, Ray worked part-time at a boutique law office specializing in family law for high-net-worth individuals. After college, he worked full-time at the law firm prior to applying to law school. In addition to serving on Lambda Board, he also serves on the board of the Latino Law Student Association and is a part of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. He also participated in the Williams Institute Moot Court Competition in February 2015. Last summer he went back to Los Angeles to extern for a judge at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Ray is an associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law.

Sylvia has lived in Southern California essentially her entire life before coming to Penn. She attended USC, where she majored in Cinematic Arts Critical Studies and spent a semester abroad in London. During and after college, she worked at a studio as an film/tv editor and visual effects coordinator; her credited works include films both famous (The Fighter) and infamous (Twilight). She also spent a short stint at a start-up company. During her first year at Penn, Sylvia served on the boards for Lambda and Penn Intellectual Property Group. She'll be spending next summer splitting between firms in LA and NYC. Sylvia is an associate editor of the Journal of Business Law.

Harrison grew up in small town Southern California before leaving for the Main Line for college.  He studied History and East Asian Studies at Haverford College. After graduation he worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Philadelphia, and in the city’s tech scene. At Penn he is also President of Penn Law and the Arts and is an associate editor of the Journal of International Law. Outside of Penn he volunteers regularly at the William Way LGBT Center and serves on the steering committee of the Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance.

At Penn, Eric serves as the Penn Intellectual Property Group Symposium Co-Chair and as an associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

​After growing up in Omaha, Jane went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she studied political science and English. She was an opinion writer for the school newspaper and president of the crew club. After graduating, she coached the freshmen crews at Lafayette College. At Penn, Jane is also involved with APALSA and the International Human Rights Advocates. Outside of law school, she enjoys riding her bike, listening to music, and writing poetry and short fiction. She's looking forward to the academic and social opportunities at Penn Law and exploring Philadelphia.

After college, he worked for two years as an immigration paralegal specializing in business visas. He is new to Philly and already in love with it.
