Taylor grew up in New England and double majored in Government and Art History at Smith College. After graduating, Taylor worked as a research assistant Verité, a consulting firm specializing in fair labor and anti human trafficking work. At Penn Law, Taylor has been involved in several pro bono projects, including the Criminal Record Expungement Project, International Human Rights Advocacy Project, and ACLU pro bono projects and attempts to maintain some semblance of a sleep and social life. Next year, Taylor will be the Managing Editor of the Journal of International Law. In free time, Taylor enjoys cooking, swimming, being outside, and playing pool badly.

Duncan grew up in the Austin, TX area and studied Public Policy Studies and Spanish at Vanderbilt.  After undergrad, he spent 4 years in New York City, working in management consulting and UI/UX design consulting.  In addition to his involvement with Lambda, Duncan is Co-President of the West Coast Law Student Association, involved with the Mock Trial Team, the Penn Intellectual Property Group and the Criminal Records Expungement Project.  Next year, he will be the Editor in Chief of the Journal of International Law. When not in law school mode, Duncan can be found (accidentally) killing plants in his apartment or attempting to find anywhere on the East Coast with passable frozen margaritas.

Jay grew up in Central New Jersey and considers this all the proof he needs that it exists. Before coming to law school, he spend four years at Gettysburg College, where he double majored in political science and theatre and did fun activities like single-handedly building a set for a musical, out-singing Tim Curry during shadowcasts of Rocky Horror (Tim Curry’s voice came through speakers, Jay’s did not), and presenting research to the Munich Consulate on business satisfaction with the (now-defunct) EU-US Privacy Shield. At the law school, he is involved with ELP, the Acappellants, the Law School Light Opera Company, and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Change

Robert is from Maryland, where he earned his B.S. in chemical engineering and M.S. in patent law. Before starting at Penn Law, he managed laboratories at the cutting edge of research on AI, drones, and robotics. As our resident patent enthusiast, Robert is a Penn Intellectual Property Group (PIPG) Co-President, the STEM Club Director of Outreach, and an Associate Editor on theJournal of Law & Innovation. He is also an Associate Editor on theUniversity of Pennsylvania Law Reviewand the Class of 2022 Representative on the Penn Law Building Committee. Born in Beijing, China and raised in Vancouver, British Columba, Frank went to the University of Western Ontario for undergrad where he majored in business administration. Before law school, Frank backpacked around South America and Southeast Asia for two months, during which time he ate a copious amount of good food and almost died hiking in Torres Del Paine in Chile. At Penn Law, he is a Research Editor on Asian Law Review and an Associate Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law. In his free time, Frank can be found scrolling through his ten food delivery apps before hitting the gym to feel better about himself.

Colin grew up in Hilo on the Island of Hawaii before moving to the Portland, Oregon area to study political science and religion. After graduating, he spent almost ten years working for universities, campaigns, and foundations doing advocacy communications and compliance work before coming to Penn. When not hanging out with the Lambda board, he is interning with Transgender Law Center, volunteering with the Civil Rights Law and Trans Empowerment & Advocacy projects, and dreaming of sunshine and tropical fruit.

Afterwards, he served with Teach for America in Eastern North Carolina, teaching sixth and eighth grade English and History. Following TFA, Trevor worked as a paralegal for the general litigation and government enforcement practice group of Ropes & Gray in Washington, D.C. At Penn Law, Trevor hopes to gain a deeper understanding of how the law underpins political and economic outcomes and can be used to the benefit of society.

After graduating, Margo worked as a client advocate at the Wilmington public defender’s office, and spearheaded the Delaware Campaign to End Debtor’s Prisons. At Penn, they are a Toll Public Interest Scholar, and are additionally involved with APALSA and PLIRP. Outside of law school, Margo enjoys anything to do with the arts and plants.

graders and made sure they had a welcoming, inclusive environment to come to each day. He then worked at Deloitte for two years before coming to law school.  In addition to his involvement with Lambda, Tayler is an Office of Inclusion and Engagement Student Advisory Board Member, an  active member of the Black Law Student Association,  involved with the Trans Empowerment & Advocacy Project, and the Civil Rights Law Project. To destress from 1L Tayler can be found pushing his culinary boundaries by accepting any baking challenge, perfecting his margarita recipe, or putting on plays with his dog Sam.

Sammy is originally from New York and graduated from the George Washington University in 2013 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Dance. Before coming to Penn, Sammy spent seven years working for plaintiff's civil rights law firms, Allred, Maroko & Goldberg and The Bloom Firm, helping victims of sexual harassment and employment discrimination through litigation and media coverage. He is also a former professional contemporary dancer and competitive aerialist.

Chelsea grew up in a small town in Southern Maine before moving to NYC to study Spanish and Latin American Literatures and Cultures at NYU. After undergrad, they spent four years working in case management at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Court of Arbitration’s New York office and volunteering as an interpreter with La Coalición Mexicana in the Bronx. In addition to their law school classes and work on Lambda’s Social and Diversity & Inclusion Committees, Chelsea also does pro bono work through Penn Law’s International Human Rights Advocates (IHRA). When not doing law school things, Chelsea is likely immersed in a good book or TV show, organizing a competitive game night with friends, or spamming someone with cute photos of their two cats, Aslan and Bagheera. They also love finding some delicious vegetarian food and making good conversation with even better company.
