Understanding the Implications of a Trump Presidency To echo the words of Dean Ruger, no matter where we sit on the political spectrum, resolving our nation’s greatest problems will require ideas from – and constructive engagement between – those who are pleased with Tuesday’s outcome and those who are not. In order to facilitate this process, BLSA, LALSA, Lambda, MLSA, Penn Law Feminists, and the PLWA are coming together to offer a series of faculty led panels that aim to discuss the upcoming issues that each of our communities face come January. The purpose of this series is not to defend or attack a candidate. It is to address civil rights realities that people in the US will now face and how to advocate on their behalf Each morning, a different group will host a panel. The panels will be accompanied by a breakfast spread and will be videotaped for students who have to leave early for class. All panels will be held in the Fitts Auditorium. Monday 8:30AM-9:30AM: Lambda Law (link to video recording) Tuesday 4:30PM-6:30PM: Black Law Students Association Wednesday 8:00AM-9:00AM: Penn Law Women's Association + Penn Law Feminists Thursday 8:30AM-9:30AM: Muslim Law Students Association Friday 9:00AM-10:00AM: Latinx Law Students Association |
