This year, Penn Lambda Law will be sending two teams to compete at the 9th Annual Williams Institute Moot Court Competition, held at UCLA School of Law. The Williams Institute hosts the only national competition dedicated exclusively to the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity law. The competition provides an opportunity for students to write an appellate brief on a current legal topic and to argue the case before a panel of judges. The competition is designed to promote and recognize the finest oral and written advocacy on a significant problem in sexual orientation and gender identity law.
Team One
Harper Seldin
Paul Courtney
Jessa DeGroote
Team Two
Philip Shecter
Katy Akopjan

This year's moot court teams are in search of alumni and practicing judges who are interested in serving as moot court judges for practicing oral arguments. Please contact us if you are interested.
